Managers Return from New England Tourette

April 15, 1999 -- The Town Managers survived two weekend on the road which took them as far north as Portsmouth, New Hampshire where they rocked The Elvis Room with Chi-Towners Lustre King, and as far south as New York City, where they played in the heart of Greenwhich village at Coney Island High. In between they played two great Connecticut clubs: TAZ and Tune Inn. Plus they took a week long break. They have a slew of shows coming up, so watch out.

Managers Cut New Demo

The Town Managers recorded a new 4-song demo in their basement on a recent Saturday morning, much to the consternation of their housemate Gary. The songs, new material that was written since Rick's return from L.A., were recorded on Tascam cassette 4-track and engineered by Chad Palmer (of Rummage). The Managers are hoping to get a record company to fund a full-length cd and some labels have expressed interest in hearing a demo. No plans have been made to sell the tape.
Update 4/15/99 -- It looks like the Alpha Quadrant label out of Seattle is interested in putting out a Town Managers cd by the end of the millenium. We'll keep you posted as further details develop.

"Cold Hearts" Finds Distribution

The film that Rick Luau worked on in Ocean City, NJ and Los Angeles, CA last year will be distributed by a foreign company the name of which is not known by this reporter. "Cold Hearts" was independently produced and filmed on location in New Jersey with post-production work done in L.A. and stars "The Pink Ranger". The original screenplay, about a vampire something or other was written by Roger Rogier who also directed the film. A Town Managers song can be heard in the soundtrack!
