Managers Return from New England Tourette April 15, 1999 -- The Town Managers
survived two weekend on the road which took them as far north as
Portsmouth, New Hampshire where they rocked The Elvis Room with
Chi-Towners Lustre King, and as far south as New York City, where they
played in the heart of Greenwhich village at Coney Island High. In between
they played two great Connecticut clubs: TAZ and Tune Inn. Plus they took
a week long break. They have a slew of shows
coming up, so watch out.
Managers Cut New
Demo The Town Managers recorded a new
4-song demo in their basement on a recent Saturday morning, much to the
consternation of their housemate Gary. The songs, new material that was
written since Rick's return from L.A., were recorded on Tascam cassette
4-track and engineered by Chad Palmer (of Rummage). The Managers are
hoping to get a record company to fund a full-length cd and some labels
have expressed interest in hearing a demo. No plans have been made to sell
the tape. "Cold Hearts" Finds
Distribution The film that Rick Luau
worked on in Ocean City, NJ and Los Angeles, CA last year will be
distributed by a foreign company the name of which is not known by this
reporter. "Cold Hearts" was independently produced and filmed on location
in New Jersey with post-production work done in L.A. and stars "The Pink
Ranger". The original screenplay, about a vampire something or other was
written by Roger Rogier who also directed the film. A Town Managers song
can be heard in the soundtrack! Farquar Muckenfuss Reform ! Farquar Muckenfuss reunited Saturday night May 22 for a show in Delaware! The band members once again are talking to each other and there are reports that the guitarist, Tom Foolery, is looking forward to playing yet another show. (Ignore all previous reports of Farquar breaking up.) For more information on Farquar, visit Farquar Forever. Butterfly Joe Releases CD on Razler Records Jonk's "other" band, Butterfly Joe

Thearter in Chinatown, Philadelphia. The band includes Dean Clean (ex-Dead
Milkmen) , Andy Bresnan (ex-Baby Flamehead) and Joe Quigley
